so close, yet so far

I'm trying to press on and finish some items but the zipper nightmare is holding me up. I'm at the stage that I need to put one in my laptop cover.


For the past few weeks I've fumbled around with zips in knitted purses but haven't been able to get the finishing right, they look untidy and less than pleasing.

So now I'm going to focus and think the problem through rather than diving straight in like I did with the other attempts. I'm sure it's like decorating 80% preparation.

The whole process is hindered by my rusty hand sewing skills.
