The second finished item

Finally got the zip and lining put into my laptop cover. So pleased with this, just enough room for my laptop and pencil case.

As with the shrug it is made with two balls that I'd picked up cheap- Debbie Bliss cotton cashmere, a bargain at 50p.
This yarn had nearly been a pair of mittens, but they got frogged as I was running out of people to make them for and it was spring. Had I have known how bad the weather was going to be this summer I might have carried on with them.

The stitch is Embossed Double Leaf Panel from Barbara Walker's, A Second Treasury of Knitting patterns. And it was knit in the round. I found the zip tricky but that's was down to my inexperience and rushing the job. In the future I don't plan on redoing the zip 5 times.
